Information on the Protection of Personal Data

At EcoTürk Energy, we attach great importance to processing and safeguarding your personal data in accordance with Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (the “Law”). We would like to inform our customers about our purposes and methods of collecting, processing and transferring personal data and, accordingly, about your rights arising from the Law.

1. Methods of Collecting Personal Data

As EcoTürk Energy, acting as the data controller and within the framework of our legal obligations arising from legislation, we collect your personal data verbally, in writing or by electronic means, through our website, social media channels, mobile applications and similar means, for purposes such as enabling you to benefit from the services of our brands, informing you about our campaigns where you have given your consent, recording your suggestions and complaints, establishing better service standards for you, and determining and implementing EcoTürk Energy’s commercial and business strategies.

2. Processing of Personal Data and Purposes of Processing

As EcoTürk Energy, acting as the data controller, through our call centres, written communication channels, social media pages, mobile communication channels, in-store communication channels and/or any other channels, without being limited to these, the personal and/or special categories of personal data that we obtain with your consent may be obtained, recorded, retained, stored, modified, updated, periodically reviewed, reorganised and classified, wholly or in part; may be kept for as long as required for the purpose for which they are processed or as stipulated in the relevant law; may be shared with or transferred to the natural and legal persons with whom EcoTürk Energy works, to public institutions and organisations it is legally obliged to share with, and/or to relevant third-party natural or legal persons resident in Türkiye or abroad, where required by law or by the practical requirements of the service; and may be transferred abroad where required by law or by the practical requirements of the service.

We inform you that we may process your personal data for purposes such as enabling EcoTürk Energy customers to benefit from the services of our brands, informing you about our campaigns where you have given your consent, recording your suggestions and complaints, establishing better service standards for you, and determining and implementing EcoTürk Energy’s commercial and business strategies, and in any case in accordance with Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 and the relevant legislation.

3. Transfer of Personal Data

EcoTürk Energy may share your personal data only with our group companies, business partners, customers and suppliers with whom we have agreements and to whom we provide services as required by our activities, audit firms, or public institutions or organisations authorised to request this data under a legal obligation, as well as other relevant authorities, without being limited to these. Such sharing will take place on the basis of your explicit consent or, within the framework of the security and confidentiality principles set out in the Law, domestically provided that adequate measures are taken and abroad provided that the necessary security measures are taken, for the purposes of carrying out the Company’s activities, establishing the business relationship between data subjects and our customers and/or holding discussions for this purpose, offering services, opportunities and facilities, and improving service quality.

4. Rights of the Data Subject Under Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law (the “Law”)

EcoTürk Energy will respond to the following requests of the persons concerned:

a) To learn whether EcoTürk Energy processes personal data relating to them and, if so, which personal data it processes,

b) To request information on the purposes of the processing activity,

c) To know the third parties to whom EcoTürk Energy transfers personal data, domestically or abroad,

d) To request the correction of personal data if it has been processed incompletely or inaccurately,

e) To request the deletion or destruction of personal data in accordance with the Law,

f) To request that, where personal data is corrected, deleted or destroyed, the actions taken be notified to the third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,

g) To object to any outcome to their detriment arising from the analysis of the processed data exclusively by automated systems, and

h) To obtain a copy of their personal data.

Privacy and Security

In order to serve its customers better, EcoTürk Energy requests some of your personal information (name, age, interests, e-mail, etc.) from you. This information, collected on EcoTürk Energy servers, is used only within EcoTürk Energy for seasonal campaign activities, the design of special promotional activities aimed at customer profiles, and customer “classification” work to prevent unwanted e-mails from being sent. EcoTürk Energy never shares the information collected from membership forms with third parties without the knowledge of the member concerned or without instructions to the contrary, and does not use it for commercial purposes or sell it for any reason unrelated to its activities.

Customer information may be disclosed to official authorities only where such information is requested by official authorities and where EcoTürk Energy is obliged to disclose it to them under the mandatory provisions of the legislation in force.

Only the customer can access all the information the customer enters into the system, and only the customer can change this information. It is not possible for anyone else to access or change it. In order to maintain the highest level of security for our valued customers who shop on the site, your credit card details requested on the payment page are in no way stored on the servers of EcoTürk Energy or the companies that serve it. In this way, all payment-related transactions take place between the bank and your computer via the EcoTürk Energy web interface.
