Under its Green Industry Support Programme, KOSGEB (the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organisation of Türkiye) has published the project proposal call for the Support of Solar Energy Investments of Industrial SMEs.
Applications can be submitted between 8 December 2023 and 30 November 2024.
How much is the KOSGEB solar energy support?
The KOSGEB solar energy support is a maximum of TL 14,000,000 per facility in 2024. The support rate is 60% of the total budget and it is repayable. Repayments will be made in 6 instalments at four-month intervals, following a 12-month grace period starting from the project end date.
Which expenses does the KOSGEB solar energy support cover?
The KOSGEB solar energy support covers machinery and equipment expenses. These expenses are supported excluding VAT.
Which projects is the KOSGEB solar energy support suitable for?
The KOSGEB solar energy support is suitable for the installation of a solar energy system. The solar energy system is expected to be installed on the roof of the building where the business operates, or integrated into the building.

According to NACE Rev. 2 codes, businesses in the following sectors can benefit from the KOSGEB solar energy support: the entire Manufacturing sector (Section C), Repair of Motor Vehicles and Motorcycles (Section G), Information and Communication (Section J), Professional, Scientific and Technical Activities (Section M) and Other Service Activities (Section S).
Which documents are required to apply for solar energy support under the Green Industry Support Programme?
1. Certified Public Accountant (YMM) / Independent Auditor Notification Form,
2. Invitation Letter for Connection Agreement,
3. Findeks Report,
4. World Bank Environmental and Social Screening Form,
5. Damage status certificate issued by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change (for businesses operating in the 11 provinces of the earthquake zone)
How is the connection agreement invitation letter obtained?
The connection agreement invitation letter is issued by the relevant distribution company once the unlicensed electricity generation application file, prepared by the electrical engineering firm that will install your solar energy system ( EcoTürk Energy: 0533 592 41 46), has been accepted. The file contains 23 attachments, such as the electrical project and signature circular, the engineering office registration certificate, the structural project, the structural compliance certificate from the municipality, and calculations. The work and procedures required to obtain the connection agreement invitation letter take approximately 4–6 months.
